Flaky, buttery and utterly irresistible these biscuits are versatile enough to eat with our Grandma's Country Gravy for breakfast or Fried Chicken for dinner.
Preheat the oven to 425°F/220°C, and adjust the rack to the middle. While the oven preheats, place a piece of parchment paper on the baking sheet and lightly coat with nonstick spray.
Add the ingredientes to the food processor, making sure the butter is sliced and cold.
Pulse the butter and the dry ingredients 6 to 7 times, or until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Using a fork, mix the buttermilk into the dough to form a ball. You can use your hands towards the end making sure not to overmix.
Place the dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangular shape, about an inch thick. Fold it over and gently roll it out again. Repeat this 6 times.
Gently roll out the dough once more to form a rectangle of about 1' in height. Cut the dough into biscuits using a 3 inch ring mold. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
Place the biscuits in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the the tops look golden brown.
While the biscuits bake, mix the honey and the melted butter in a small bowl until well combined.
Brush each with honey butter.
